Competitive Landscape Brief
A concise written brief on how similar firms in your district position themselves—and where white space exists for your story.
What you get
A 8–12 page brief covering:
- How 6–10 comparable firms in your category describe themselves publicly
- Pricing and offer structure patterns visible from menus, listings, and signage
- Language and imagery motifs repeated across the district
- Two or three positioning angles that appear underused in your immediate market
When owners request this
Before opening a new branch, rebranding a longstanding shop, or pitching a bank loan where the business plan needs a credible market section. Also common when a franchise or chain enters the neighbourhood and owners want to articulate local distinction.
Optional site visit
The desk-only brief relies on public sources and our prior field knowledge. Adding a half-day site visit lets us photograph signage and note foot-traffic patterns on your street. Recommended for retail corridors with heavy pedestrian traffic.
Exclusions
We do not conduct mystery shopping that involves misrepresenting identity, nor do we access non-public financial data. Consumer survey fieldwork is available as a separate engagement.
